I've spent thirty years growing Vandas in my Florida greenhouse — the wild-spectrum kind, the ones that bloom in colors most people can't quite believe are real. I designed this piece the way I fall in love with a Vanda in the greenhouse: petal by petal, curl by curl. A heart-cut pink center where the column would be. Sculpted gold petals unfurling around it. A leafy vine band, hand-detailed, wrapping the finger the way a Vanda root wraps its perch.

It's not a literal copy of any one bloom. It's the feeling of every Vanda I've ever loved, translated into 925 sterling silver, plated in 14K gold.
